Students learned fractions in the tastiest way — with pizza models! 🍕 They divided pizzas into equal slices, labeled fractions with different toppings, and compared amounts. Then they created their own fraction word problems to challenge classmates. Hands-on math made learning fun and meaningful! 📚

Mrs. Foster’s 3rd Graders turned into Paleontologist today! At the Science Lab, these excited learners explored real fossils and created their own mold fossils to understand how fossils are formed and preserved over time!
Mrs. Bryce's second grade class read the Benchmark Story "The Stone Garden". They created a life size diorama of the corner gas station lot that was abandoned and covered in trash. They cleaned up the lot and created a beautiful stone garden with lanterns, flowers and painted rocks. Then they drafted and typed a narrative from the townspeople point of view! They loved bringing their mental image of the story to life!
We are so proud to celebrate these incredible students who earned PERFECT ATTENDANCE for both the 1st and 2nd 9 weeks! 👏✨ That means no absences, no tardies, and no early check-outs—just showing up every single day ready to learn. 💪🎓 This level of commitment matters. Today, our students had a first-class learning experience thanks to a Southwest Airlines, John Gilbert, pilot who helped bring math to life in the coolest way possible! 🚀 The students designed and built paper airplanes, flew them, measured the distances, and then used their real-world data to explore fractions and line plots. From takeoff to landing, they recorded results, analyzed patterns, and answered questions like true mathematicians (and future pilots 😉).
Hands-on learning + real-world connections = math that sticks!
